In 2024, PW Churchwide’s Justice and Peace Committee is once again hosting book discussion groups.
The discussions will be held on Zoom, bimonthly on the second Monday, 6:30-8:30 PM. It’s free to participate, but registration is required.
The six books on the reading list include: “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot; “Our Mission Hearts: A Novel” by Celeste Ng; “Transforming: the Bible & the Lives of Transgender Christians” by Austen Harte; “A Place Called Home: A Memoir” by David Ambroz; “Poverty, By America” by Matthew Desmond; and “Searching for Savanna: The Murder of One Native American Women and the Violence Against the Many” by Mona Gable.
You can read and discuss any or all books that appeal to you. You will receive questions for reflection/discussion, as well as a Zoom link, 24 hours prior to each session.
The J&P Book Discussion Group is open to all. Register or learn more at presbyterianwomen.org/justice.
